This policy explains how UpNextForYou.org uses cookies, analytics, and session recording technologies when you use the Platform. Read alongside our Privacy Policy for full detail.

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

• Session authentication tokens — keep you securely logged in
• CSRF protection tokens — prevent cross-site request forgery attacks
• Email verification state tokens — track email confirmation flow

Without these cookies, you cannot log in or use the Platform.

2. Security (Cloudflare Turnstile)

We use Cloudflare Turnstile as a CAPTCHA alternative to protect against automated abuse. Turnstile may set cookies or use browser signals to verify you are not a bot. No personal information is shared with Cloudflare beyond what is necessary for security verification.

3. Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to collect anonymized information about how users interact with the Platform. This helps us understand which features are used, identify navigation issues, and improve the overall experience. PostHog may set cookies or use local storage to track your browser session. Your IP address is anonymized.

What PostHog collects: page views and navigation patterns; feature usage and click events; session duration and device type; and session replay recordings (see below).

4. Session Replay — What It Means for You

Session replay records your mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and page navigation as you use the Platform. This helps our development team diagnose usability problems and technical bugs.

What session replay does NOT capture: anything you type into password fields, sensitive form inputs, or other masked fields. These are automatically blocked in our PostHog configuration.

Session replay data is accessible only to our development and product team, is not shared with third parties for any purpose, and is retained for 90 days. To request deletion of your session replay data, contact us at admin@upnextforyou.org.

5. No Advertising Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or retargeting. No data is shared with advertising networks.

6. Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage or delete cookies through their settings. Please note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging into the Platform. To opt out of PostHog analytics collection, contact us at admin@upnextforyou.org and we can configure your account accordingly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy if our use of cookies or analytics technologies changes, and will notify users of material changes.
